Vandelia/Hall Conservation District consideration. What’s Next?

Residents voted unanimously to investigate the merits of Conservation District (CD) status for the 4300-4500 blocks of Vandelia and Hall streets at the Perry Heights Association Annual Meeting on March 26.

The next step in the process is to submit a “Determination of Eligibility” request to the City of Dallas. One provision of that request is to establish a neighborhood committee of at least ten property owners on Hall and Vandelia in Perry Heights. A few of you have already volunteered! If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact Tony Smercina (tony.smercina@gmail.com).

If pursued, the Conservation District application will likely take at least two years and several neighborhood meetings to complete, according to the City.

Any consideration of a Vandelia/Hall Street Conservation District in Perry Heights will not impact Park Place homeowners or those residents Rawlins Street, which already has its CD.
